Open car hauler recommendations

I'm looking for recommendations/opinions on an open car hauler.

Tow rig is a GMC 1500 with the 6.2. I'm leaning towards a 18/20ft, aluminum, tilt bed with stone guard & winch option.

One if the vehicles that would frequently be towed is a 1967 C10 with full Porter Built and Accuair and even fully aired it doesn't have a ton of ground clearance.

Jimglo is the only open trailer I would buy, you won't be disappointed!

Jim curious why not an enclosed trailer ? They don’t take up more space really and offer storage when not in use. I will be in the trailer buying position later next year

Tiltbed trailers are supposed to be easier to load lowered cars n trucks on, but I've never used one myself. A nice steel trailer will weigh around 2500#s where you can get an equally optioned aluminum trailer down to about 1500#s...but they'll cost about 3 times as much. So your budget and towing capacity will need to be weighed...

Most steel open trailers can be bought for around $1800-2500 and aluminum ones start around $6500 and can go as high as $10,000 depending on options.

I've used a steel deck 18' with a 4' dovetail for over 5 years now. It pulls great, is pretty easy to load and does the job but I also covet a nice aluminum one so I can get a little bit of tongue weight off my RV. One of these days...

I agree with Tim, I had the 21' Jimglo steel tilt trailer and wouldn't go any smaller than the 20' trailer.

Jimglo is what I've been eyeing, I shoulda pulled the trigger at Hot August Nights as they were offering a decent discount so they wouldn't have to drag it home>

I've found a few companies that offer aluminum tilts at near 50% of a Jimglo I'm questioning if Jimglo is that much better. Also are 3500# axles enough or is it worth upgrading to the 5000#?
