This is the Data from a modified 2016 Corvette Z06 from a track day at COTA last weekend.

This video is straight off the Performance Data Recorder on the Corvette. This feature is also available on new Camaros and Cadillac's.

Looks like the thermal management is solid with the car only dropping 1 mph on the back straight.

Is the camera incorporated into the Performance Data Recorder system?

I love manual transmissions, but no way am I better than the one in that car. #paradigmshift

Yes the camera stock and is behind the rear view mirror. It records data onto a mini SD card located in the glove box. We use the system all the time because you just hit record on the touch screen. Done!

Yes I'm a manual guy also but the new autos are very good. This car has the 8 speed auto which is good but the 10 speed in the Camaro is better.

Great move on integrating the camera!

The first video I watched/listened to of the Camaro at Spring Mountain sold me on the potential of new gen automatics......... then shortly after that a ride along with Matt in his Porsche Turbo with a PDK at Sonoma. The PDK's ability to determine up and downshift timing on a track I was familiar with amazed me. I hate to admit defeat, but no way can I beat a PDK.

And Tadge Juechter calls this car 'sluggish' compared to the new ZR1:confused18: . Any opinions there mark?

Mike Pippin's Z06 is his own version of a ZR1. Bigger blower, much better cooling, wings. I have driven a pre-production ZR1 and Mikes Car is very close to a new ZR1 if not slightly faster.[

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket version of that performance data recorder? I have been looking for something like that to install in Dust Off for track day use.
