Looking for any ideas on this. I've seen some that are mounted through the lower valance below the front bumper.
Anyone know of the source for any of these?

Good topic! I plan on installing 2 hooks on my 68, but I have the 69 lower valance.
I plan on fabricating some brackets to fit to my subframe with a forward facing thread for easy removal of the hooks.
There's an overwhelming amount of hooks on the market, but keep us updated with what you find

The meanstreet bracket and hook looks like its the perfect setup. Email Vince if your interested.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have pics of the Mean Streets 2nd gen version? I will email/contact Vince, just thought I'd ask since it's the weekend and can't contact him until next week.

This is the 2nd gen. I have a swivel version but waiting on Rennline hooks to come in.

I use a RaceQuip tow strap from Summit bolted inside the frame horn to one of the bumper mount bolts. I tuck it inside behind the lower valance panel and if needed I simply reach in under the bumper and pull it out. On a side note, I installed a 69 Camaro flip down rear tag bracket on my 68 and mounted a second tow strap to the center bracket of the rear bumper and tuck that strap up behind the tag bracket when not in use. To access it I just pull the tag down and pull out the strap. Unless you know where to look you will not see my tow hooks.
