Stielow has a version of this engine in the Gunner camaro already. Seems The lt5 is basically an lt1 with some tweaks and a big ass blower. Maggies version of this huffer just made 1100+whp on a 416ci 2017 Camaro. Cant wait until Eaton releases theirs for all ls/lt platforms next fall.

Magnuson = Eaton.
Eaton does not make any kits. They have various distributor that make kits, like Magnuson, and others for Toyota, Ford, and Chrysler.
Looks like the LT5 is a upgraded version of the LT4...

From what I know, Gunner has a warmed over LT4. They added the bigger cooler bricks and lid from the Camaro ZL1 and newer LT4's.
IMHO, the LT5 quite a bit more than a LT1 with a big blower.
Yup, the Magnuson Camaro made 1153rwhp (so far) with 416ci LT1 and a TVS2650.. through an 8-spd automatic. VERY impressive.. despite the blower sticking through the hood :D

Yes gunner has a slightly modded lt4. Yes the lt5 is very similar to the lt4 but with a bigger blower and a few other minor differences, and yes those are both tweaked supercharged versions of the lt1 (with forged internals, etc).
Even gm says word for word the lt4 is 'based' on the LT1:
http://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/news.detail.html/content/Pages/news/us/en/2014/Aug/0820-8speed/0820-compact-powerhouse.html
For clarification, I just meant further down the line in the LT evolution as the aftermarket starts to roll, I could see mark possibly even wanting to get his hands on this upgraded blower and collaborate on a custom engine build rather than going full crate lt5.
Carry on:thumbsup:

Ok.. not arguing that it's the same engine family. The LT5 is to the LT1, as the LS9 was to the LS3.
Where I disagree is the generalization that the LT5 is a LT1 with "tweaks and a big ass blower". To me, there is already enough information out there to suggest it's a little more than that.

But it is. Lol. My point was merely that mark has already dabbled in the supercharged lt engine family for a car build, and that the lt5 basically IS an LT4 with a bigger blower. Now back to gushing over this car...

Can't wait to see what it makes with a smaller pulley, retune, and some e85

Yes there are multiple changes there that Are all Public knowledge. Perhaps I should have said the most technologically significant difference between the lt4 and 5 is the 2650. I'm waiting on gm to really impress me with the dohc option on the pending zora car.

The general himself codenames the lt5 'BAS'. Lol. I love it. :bigun2:

I also think the secondary fuel system is a significant change. Should be interesting to see where that technology takes the aftermarket.
