Help with parts shipment

This is what is all included comes with TKO 500 gm belhousing,clutch,pressure plate,shifter,inspection cover,slave cly,braided lines,yoke,all bolts,

Jacob, are you buying it from a person or a company?

If it's a company, they should have better "negotiated rates" with their shipper(s).

If it's an individual, you're in a tight spot. The "Retail" rates for UPS & FedEx are RE-DICK-YOU-LUS.

Hard part is getting it on a pallet and prepared for freight shipment. If the seller could get it palletized and drop it off at terminal and you could puck it up at terminal...I could get you a pretty good freight rate. It's the final mule stuff that gets pricey on freight shipments.

I see the town they are in has Fastenal. I do as well. The guy who is selling said I need to line my own crating up. I'll do some looking for that service today.

In this particular case, the dude is picking it up and putting it in his SUV and delivering to my door. It wasn't cheap but it was reasonable.

There is a rating system and you can read reviews written by others like you that have used them. Pretty good system. Don't find someone you like, don't use them. Sometimes you can get a great deal because the guy is headed your way anyway.

Search for mail and parcel stores in the area that also do freight. They'll have the ability to pick up, strap to a pallet and schedule a freight pickup.

Like I tried to say above when typing on phone, LTL freight is cheap as long as you don't have them pick up or deliver to residential areas or need door to door service. And it doesn't need to be crated...just strapped to a pallet should be fine. They won't stack anything on top of a lightweight pallet with just a transmission on it, more than likely that will get stacked on top of other crates in the truck.
