Wasn't sure if anyone was attending. I got the call that a spot opened on Grand Champion and I took the bait.

Tires ordered yesterday and delivered in under 24 hours. Had to drive to College Station to get them as UPS not reliable yet for obvious reasons in Houston.

Car is up in stands fixing a busted PS line and a few other small things. Won't be complete but will be mechanically complete for the events. Hoping to put on a show and make it through it.

First time doing something like this and hoping to meet a few of you guys out there!

If you see my car, feel free to say hello. I'm running solo I believe for the weekend and with 12 hr drive with nothing but my nerves and thoughts I'll be an anxious wreck by the time I arrive!!!

I've been considering driving up from Charlotte and the 7hr drive is a turn off, but maybe knowing you're driving for 12 will help

Will have pics. Trying to get some GoPro on loan now. Not expecting to do much more than survive the trip. Anything better than that is a plus!

12 hour drive in car time! Not trailer pulling time. And on top of that the car is still in the air sorting out a few things and trying to fins a tire installer I trust to install the rivals on my forgelines.

Thanks man. Had it 99% done besides tires when the driver door jammed. Spent better part of 4 hours and wasted the door panel and sill plate to get the door opened. What a mess.

Now I have to get that fixed before leaving!!!:hitaxeonthehead:

That happened to my GTO during the RSE competition back in 2003...LOL...Although that was mostly self inflicted.

Got that part fixed. Door sagging with weight of all glass. Combined with striker too low and sill plate installed. Just got jammed. Camaro Concepts in Houston was kind enough to let me come up today and get the part I needed. With some tips on door adjustment I got it all going again.

Now to work a full day tomorrow, mount tires, check alignment and test drive to see if power steering is fixed. All before leaving mid day Wednesday...no pressure.

Excellent.

Thanks. Drove it around a bit today. As good as it's gonna get before going on trailer. Now to pack, loadout and roll.
