Hey guys, about to pull the trigger on ordering some kit to upgrade the 12 bolt in my 68 camaro.

Was ready to order a truetrac carrier after reading good things about them. I've also noticed a few threads about noisy truetracs (mainly seem to be with 9" centres though). Do I buy a truetrac or stick with an Eaton posi?

What's your opinion on the best option for my diff?

Is a 454 big block car, will be TH400, factory 12 bolt, weekend street cruiser, will see 'occasional spirited driving'.

Looking to use 3.42 or 3.55 gears if it makes any difference.

I have had no issues, no noise with my Trutrac. 3.73 w/ Tremec TKO-600 five speed behind a Pontiac 400.

I know this is a little late but I'm running a TruTrac in my 8.5" 10 bolt and love it. I can really feel it locking in. No noise issues but it can be felt.

I and a few buddies have the tru track. Works great. My for s 9" has more noise then my buddy's 12 bolt with it. I would go with it again.

Thanks for the response guys, i'm sold on getting the truetrac.

Looks like summit / jegs are the go to place for the best deal and cheapest shipping to Australia.
