Yeah, I'm bummed too. Really glad he made music for us to listen to forever

So sad. .... he struggled with drugs for years like many other musicians, actors etc do. He'll definitely be missed.

even worse to hear that it was suicide... horrible

Another one of the greats from my generation gone.. I grew up on grunge.

You and me both ....he came across as one who got his **** together , soundgarden, audioslave , tied with pearl Jam and stone temple pilots as my favs from back then . Amazing song writer , lead singer , guitar player but, he was also big on charity. Was very humble and easy to talk to , never made you feel like a nobody because you didn't have the fame or fortune that he had . Special man he was

the day after he died i caught the middle of the 90's movie "singles" in which chris was in,playing himself before he was himself, along with other seattle based bands like alice in chains and pearl jam.so if we count ,we have lost cobain, scott weiland, lane stalely, lemmy and now chris.at least for me they were all some of the best frontmen of my time and will be missed.

This really sucks. The older I get, the more these deaths affect me. There are many of us here who grew up with grunge as the music of our early adulthoods, and it's really sad to see these guys who made it falling like dominoes. I think the thing is to really let it affect us. The worst that could happen is that we pay attention and try to live our lives better.
