Got another one for y'all. LOL!! Easy fix though, right? Just put some smaller wheels back on it and there you go. Problem is, the suspension, A-arm bushings, shocks and body mounts will all need replacing too. :headspin: Don't know exactly what year Vette this is, but it's on some 30" wheels. Not hatin and nice paint job by the way.

Doesn't look like the driver even fits in the car. Those aren't big cars and he looks like he's a big man. The paint looks great and looks almost wet still.
That's a 77-79 car most likely.

Those quarters and fenders would need to be replaced as well

He will be Autocrossing in no time! Yeah, I'd like to be around when he turns that thing.

Every time I see a Donk I think of the scene in Beverly Hills Cop where Axel Foley is walking down a sidewalk in Beverly Hills when he passes two guys in leather jump suits and he starts laughing to himself as they pass. Axel's reaction to the jump suit guys is how I feel about Donks.

I'm the same way to some extent, Steve. I've seen some that are really well done. For me, I like it if they go with a big rim that fits the vehicle without taking away from its ability to function as a vehicle and not lifting it sky high. Just make it fill the wheel well properly.
I'm the same way with lifted trucks. Too high and with huge tires just looks dumb.

I agree Trey. Me personally, I think a 19" or 20" wheel max is plenty enough wheel for any car....22" for SUVs and trucks and that's my limitation. I know to each his own, but when you start 24"+ on cars to where you have to lift them to the clouds and you can barely turn the car in a u-turn, that's crazy to me. I've been behind some donks that are trying to make a u-turn and they have to go back and forth in drive/reverse 2-3 times just to make the turn. Now, tell me what kind of sense does that make?

I've worked on quite a few of them here in S. FL. They're a pain to work on like a lifted truck because ya need something to stand on all the time to get in the engine compartment. You'd be surprised how many have built BBC engines in them. Scary part is that most have stock brakes and they can't stop very well. Brake pads/shoes don't last very long.

John, I see you're in Florida so I'm sure you cannot go from one corner to the next without seeing them to the left and to the right of you. Yes, I know, they do build the motors up. I've seen them with thr 6-71 blowers, etc on them.

I take a different way home from work vs. going to and every afternoon I see at least 5 or 6 Donks! Ridiculous!

I've never been a fan of that generation Vette, but I feel like that car has been the victim of some type of crime! Guess that explains the crime scene tape on the ground...

I sent my cousin who has a C3 with a similar paint job these pics and suggested he make a wheel change. I will not tell you what he suggested I do.
