Is this a typo?

14. Exhaust must exit outside of the body, behind driver and be securely installed. Mufflers are
required with no open exhaust or open headers allowed (90db max).

Maybe they're trying to create shorter lines :D I don't know db levels but I would think any modified car worth a **** makes a bit of noise, especially bouncing off the rev limiter.

My guess is this will be enforced at certain venues, I know they have neighbor problems in Del Mar. If it's enforced at all events they might as well hang a going out of business sign up at the auto-x as I'll bet most new v-8 musclecars would have a hard time making 90db.

Yeah, any late model muscle car with just an axle back exhaust will blow 90 at WFO.

at idle or WOT ?

no way any PT car is going to be 90Db or lower at any high RPM, maybe at idle many will be lower

Guys,
90db max/Idle at Del Mar
This is the only event that we are seeing issues at this time.
We will update the rules so it reads like this.
Thanks Ed
