Bending stock fuel rail?

Am I crazy to think this line could be bent 90 AN be much neater?
Anyone ever do that or see it done?

They now make fuel rail adapter like you have with a built in 90 degree. It eliminates the fitting coming so far out the side. Also flipping the fuel rail will also set it closer back to the firewall. You can bend the fuel rail some but I would flip it first.

Hard to see but rail is already flipped... so far the only 90 degree fitting I found were "low flow" hard 90 eBay items but I am still looking

thats the fitting i was talking about. plus you dont have that stupid plastic fitting which could lead to a fire issue. Plenty of documented issues

Very doubtful. You need fittings specific to the hose.

Sorry no idea. Russell rubber hose sucks for fuel. I used it and it degraded quickly.

If it is rubber it is pretty much guaranteed to turn to mush in a couple of years. That is why guys are using PTFE for fuel hoses.

mine are earl fuel hoses. You can see the hose here on the loop from one fuel rail to the other. Used the same hose from the hardline to the fuel rail and hardline to the gas tank.

Unless it's Teflon I am pretty sure it will break down. Not trying to pee in your cornflakes, just being honest. There are a lot of threads and at least one magazine article about this.

That is what I used. Out of all the cars at the shop none of them have had issues

Thanks ... for perspective I am using Ptfe from pump to the front... my Ptfe ends at a bulkhead connection close to the engine... so this length of hose will either be a few inches... from fitting to end of intake ....of a few feet from fitting to fender mounted bulkhead

Here is the hose I use for fuel. I don't care for the braided teflon hose.

The information is sparse on the website but it is made of Viton and engineered for E85 so the ethanol in gasoline will not break it down.

I flipped my rail and used PTFE line and fittings from plumbingmonkey.com from the tank to the rail. The line has since been secured to the firewall with a little slack to compensate for motor movement.

I have a local place that makes hydraulic hose and he is an expert brazer.... he could cut the end off of that rail and make any radius bend you need.

This may be hard to see... however it is a stock fuel rail being fed from the back driver side with -10AN fitting brazed on.... then the original feed is actually the return. There was also an additional crossover tube added..... to the quick glance it looks stock... but it does support 1400hp+. This is my other RX-7..... 88mm turbo LS9 1/2 mile shootout car. Does mid 190's with total lack of traction.
