Steve's gorgeous '68 Camaro is one of the almost-identical "Evil Twin" '68 Camaros originally used in the Need for Speed movie. It was built by Georgia's Kenwood Rod Shop, is powered by a 525HP LS3 crate engine, and rides on Heidt’s 4-link rear suspension, mini tubs, Wilwood disc brakes, Continental ExtremeContact DW tires (245/40ZR18 & 295/35ZR18), and 18x8/18x11.5 Forgeline GZ3 wheels finished with Gunmetal centers, Polished outers, and Exposed Hardware! Really nice, was the rear end narrowed with this back spacing?

I don't actually know the axle width with any certainty. However, when I spoke with Randy Allgood about this car, he did not mention a shortened axle. And this rear wheel appears to have a relatively narrow outer rim, which would indicate a stock or nearly-stock axle width.

If they had shortened the axle much, then they would most likely be using less backspace and more frontspace - which would mean a much wider outer rim. So my expectation is that their extra width to accommodate that 11.5 inch rear wheel came from the minitub behind the hub.
