Hey all, looking for wiper motor options for the 2nd gen camaro, DSE has there's but with no "park" feature, which I'll need , can't post any pics now cause iPad's sometimes suck.

The one on "orange crate" I saw on IG is what I had in mind....but whose is it...

I've been looking for a Firebird kit as well. I came across Raingear who said they are developing one but have no anticipated availability date.

Or, according to this link, the motor on Orange Krate is from DSE...

I used New Port Engineering. Seems solid. Good customer service!

Mike

I'm still trying to find something myself. One thought is something like the New Port engineering unit or another compact motor and to build some kind of mount to install it inside the cowl. Seems like it should be doable... I also have a wiper unit off a 1996 Dodge truck for my 59 Chevy build which seems like it could be out down to fit inside the cowl as well. Not sure how much fab you're looking to do but figured I'd throw out the ideas.

Heres a pic of the Dodge setup

I've already developed one like you posted Gerno. Mine uses all the factory wiper transmission etc and bolts right in the factory location but inside the cowl. All you need is my bracket and the motor assembly I found works. No major mods needed etc.

I wanted to find a company to produce them for me for sale. I just don't have the time. Mine would sell for WAY cheaper then any other option on the market today

Well i was hoping for no fab and hidden in the cowl area. Rain gear says there isn't enough room in a 2nd and they have no plans of R&D for that.
Since i already have my firewall covered with a piece of 1/8 sheet aluminum, i'll probably just surface mount and cut a hole. I'll just need an extension to reach the blades linkage. Gotta get going though, the gg road tour is coming up, and apparently it rains elsewhere in the US in the summer, it sure doesn't in CA.....we hit major rain in the 14 tour....

DSE has something nice, but no "self park" feature, may go for it anyway's.....thanx

I used the stock location and the New Port motor, like you I wanted the park feature. While I wish there was a better solution to hide it, I just fabbed my firewall around it. I will post some detailed pics later today

I guess the guy that responded to my email that said they'd have a system soon was misinformed.
