iam in search of the back tires for my 68 camaro. perferably i would like to use 19's on the back with a 30 or 35 sidewall. the widest tire i have been albe to find is around 12 inches wide. brands don't matter as long as it has good handeling capabilities.

A Michelin polit sport 345-30-19 is 27.4 tall and13.6 wide on a 12 inch wide wheel

Pirelli makes a 355/25/19 I believe, but pretty much everything in the 335-355 is all the same once you mount them up.

I've been hearing rumors of a 345/30/19 drag radial for a while, might be worth looking into.

The 355 should be 14.1, which is too wode for mini tubs. 345s are 13.8, and about the end of the world, 335s are 13.6 and the best for minis

Is there any change of "tubbing" minitubes to get extra 1" or so to use 355 on a 14-14,5 wide wheels ? That would must look allmost too wide

What are the limitations with quadralink ?

I used a 19X13 rear wheel 9.25 back spacing W/ stock 12 bolt housing and had to replace factroy frame rail with 1.5X3 rec.tube to fit them under my car. I had to build my own tubs from 18ga cold . Pre made mini tubs were a tad to small. And the look is nuts.If I knew how get my pictures on the enternet I would post them. trying get my brother to do it for me.

With stock rails you would have to basically eliminate the factory rail in the back as another 1/2 or so would push all the way through. I do not know if the quadra link would work, assuming you moved the rails in.

I do not think a extra 1/2 inch would be noticeable, but then again, I give the same lecture to my wife and she probably doesn't believe me either!

I got a price on the Pirelli and it is $900 Canadian each.

Anybody know what a 13 foose wheel might run me dollar wise??
