My 73 has the stock flat hood and I plan to put a cowl hood on, but I'm not a fan of the flat lift up style. With how many curves the body has, it looks out of place to me.
This is the normal cowl

I found this one on a pro touring 73 Camaro and it reminds me of the VFN Sunoco hood for the 4th gen Camaro. To me it looks cleaner and smoother.

Does anyone know of someone who can produce that hood other than a body shop?

Have you contacted any of the Fiberglass hood companies? Such as Glastek,Harwood,VFN. It looks like a 2'cowl hood without the center ridge being so pronounced. And some times they will custom make hoods for an additional charge.http://s1064.photobucket.com

I called a VFN this morning and I was told they are working on a Sunoco style hood for the 70-81 similar to the one they just released for the 67-69 camaro

Mine was takin off of a 70-72 cowl from a Chevelle (not by me, innocent but loving the sacrifice) and welded onto my stock hood, my body guy said it wasn't too hard...
