Good day all.......Well it's been a while since I've posted here. But I figured I start back here with what on deck. I've managed to acquire a 1971 Olds Cutlass Holiday coupe. It has a rocket 350, and 350 tranny. Nothing special (right now at least), however it does have about 87K on an original drivetrain. And a rather decent interior to boot. From what I understand the Olds 350 has the largest bore, and shortest stroke combo of all GM 350's. And though they need some attention in the oiling dept. They can be very stout. I do have a lot to learn about Olds, but it's an A-Body all the same. So please stay tuned for pics....and updates. I'm just now getting over the sale of my 1970 454 Nova, so this is a nice bounce back. Thanks.

Ok, here are some pics of the Cutlass.

I have a collection of Jada Toys Big Time Muscle Diecast cars. And I take a lot of inspiration from them. Here's one 442 in particular that I would like to follow.

I don't want to use a 455 as most would. I'm actually going to build up the original 350 that's in it. With even a little work here and there they can sing at high RPM's all day. I'm not the biggest fan of the wings they used on the 442. It's cool, but I'm gonna try and improve on it. Anyway, that's where I'm at right now. Stay tuned......Thanks.

Yea I just checked out the website and saw it. I love the big SS wheels. I picked that model, because they're so detailed that you could literally build a car off of them. And my imagination pulls me so many different ways, that it's hard to settle on ideas. With these diecast cars, it's like a whole idea in a little package. And of course there's other colors, and wheel combos.

The Olds 350 is a great motor! I've seen them still running fine with only normal upkeep and over 400,000 miles!
I'm not a big fan of the wings either, but I do think they look nice on the slope-back body (like yours). I have a 'vert, so I built my own (see pic).
That can be a beautiful car, keep the build pics coming!
Shiny Side Up!

I've been a lot busy since with work and moving to a new home since I posted this project. But I just wanted to put something in to let you guys know I'm still into it. Tonight I went outside and started taking things off the car like the old carpet and things. Just to light the fire back......For the most part I've just been doing a lot of research here, and other sites. And looking out for parts such as bucket seats. So.... I'm still going Olds

Looks like a great project, when you get there I have some real clean fenders and doors, also an O type 12 bolt rear and a nice black dash pad assembly.
