I just picked this up. It's a 2013 200DX Tigrunner package. It has a SR-20 torch, foot control, and all connections, i need to pick up a bottle. What other tools/consumables do i need to pick up to get started on this thing? Just steel work for now on the Camaro.

Coolant is already filled up. I just ordered some rod holders and 2% ceriated tungsten. Do i need any other types of tungsten?
Also looking at picking up all this from USA Weld.

I have that torch holder and really like it.
I've also tried those clear pyrex cups but wound up breaking them too easily.

Time saver is learning not to contaminate the tungsten! LOL
Make sure when you order torches that they're WATER COOLED -- rather than air cooled.
2% Lanthanated is a better all around tungsten
And watch lots of WeldingTipsandTricks.com videos

ditch the ceriated and go 1.5% lanthanated, also i love my ck flex head torch that i have on my personal machine. Much better then the weldtech stuff ive had in the past at prior jobs. Also pending what metal thickness your running id grab some thinner filler rod.
also ditch all the different size collets, your max amperage is 200amps no need for such large collets. I usually run 1/16" all the time and the occasional .04" tungsten

Totally agree on ditching the hefty tungsten sizes --- 1/8th STARTS at 250 amps and the 200DX has a max of 200 amps - so 3/32nd is your max size with that machine - and you'll use it rarely. With 3/32nds you can weld 1/4" Aluminum and that's the max the machine can handle. I mostly use the 1/16th which is good to 150 amps.

Picked up a bottle of Argon today. My local welding supply didn't have any smaller tungsten or rod so i had to order it. I picked up some lanthanated tungsten as well. Hopefully i'll be up and learning next weekend.

IIRC, thats the same machine I bought. I also bought the same stuff from HTP. I am really glad I got the tung. grinder. The Dynasty has so many features. Enjoy your new toy !!!

I finally got everything i need in and now I have to look for a small tool box to store it all. Right now it doesn't look like i'll have to time to work with it much if any. I'm deploying in a few weeks till the end of the year, but it'll be all ready to go come 2017 hah.
