Hello everyone,
Looking to see if anyone has installed what Ford Racing is referring to as the Gen 2 Coyote. I purchased mine (still waiting on delivery) and one of the changes is the Charge Motion Control Valves (CMCV). Looking to see what anyone has done to remove and/or relocate them. The way I mocked up a borrowed coyote engine, the new parts on the Gen 2 will not fit because my engine is set back to almost touching the firewall. Modding the firewall will be my last resort because I don't want to deal with the snowball affect it will create. Any photos would be helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Robert

I have the same engine and a T56 Mag setting in my garage ready to go into a FFR cobra. I'm planning on leaving mine. Do some web searches around 2015 Coyote intake and see what you can find. I recall reading something on a forum or tuner site that mentioned it was a lot more complicated now than just swapping the intake out for a BOSS 302 style intake. Something about the ECU needing to be updated as it looks for the valve feedback or something.
There's a dyno youtube clip out there somewhere from LUND racing who put a Boss intake on a '15 (removing the CMCV) in the process). It gained another 1,200 or so RPM and 10 or so HP overall, but lost 10hp & torque across the entire power band until the last 7,300 or so RPM where it crossed over the prior HP peak number. You may want to give them a call and see what they can do. I'll be using one of their tunes when I'm ready later this year.
Good luck on the project.
PS - I see you have the cat on the exhaust, which probably means it was a pull out with the stock trans. I'm under the impression the stock 6-speed Chinese unit is total dogsh*t. You may want to consider swapping it for a Tremec TKO-600 or T56 Mag. I picked my motor up from Forte Parts Connection out of Mass, (big Tremec dealer), and was less than Summit pricing with everything I needed.

Hi RDuke,
I actually read the article on the car you're referring to. Going that route may be one of the last resorts. I would like to keep the CMCV.
As for the picture, I actually "borrowed" it from the internet. It's not the actual picture of my engine. I'm still waiting for the engine to arrive from Jegs. I jumped on the deal with Jegs because they were selling the engine w/ controls pack for $7K. I do have a viper t56 sitting in the garage ready to go behind it.
