I found this on FB with very little mentioned about it. I'm wondering if this is recent or even a real deal....Supposedly it was an anticipated green flag over a rise that didn't happen. Anyone know anything about it?

Thanks Donny. I had seen Manitowoc on the ambulance and was searching based on that....clueless.

I'm glad to hear it was in 05, I recognized some of the cars and was hoping it wasn't recent. Looks like Portland Historics is a go!

I remember hearing the story way back that there was a slight crest a little ways back and it was very foggy when it happened. Don't know the truth but I certainly remember the pic and the "story".

I don't about Fog, but there is a Crest there. Also A stack-up can happen if the front cars don't go fast enough or if some brake-checks

From what I read when I was digging around was the green flag should have never dropped. The field was spread out and were racing before the green, up and over the crest to a slower moving front pack. A rear impact along with riding that outside wall trying to avoid collision resulted in what ya'll see.

Lots of money in that pile!
