So yea.. my McCleod Throwout is leaking badly with my Ram Clutch.. and I readup on them and they are notorious for leaking.

What company do you reccommend that I replace it with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you guys!

I've run McLeod 3 times without issues. Do you have a stop on the clutch rod the the cylinder?

I had issues with Macloed bearings in the past as well. I went with an external slave setup from forte's because I was sick of dropping the tranny to change leaking bearings!

Hi. I'm about to fit a mcleod master and slave cylinders along with their firewall kit, I would really appreciate it if you could post some details or pictures of the stop you spoke of, sounds like a good idea and I would prefer not to have issues further down the track. Cheers Trevor.

I just ordered their firewall kit for now. Will order the TOB later. I have read a number of leaks associated with the TOB and it does make me question if I should purchase another unit.?

Why not run the stock GM throwout bearing? I can't speak from personal experience on aftermarket but I was researching master issues online a while back including Ls1tech and other sites and came across lots of recommendations for the stock GM throwout which is what I'm running with a tilton master.

I've only had the setup together for a relatively short while but it has survived 10k miles of which 1k miles is on the track (road course) as well as another unknown amount of miles on 20-30 autocross events.

from the information ive gathered so far from these posts many say either

go with GM or Tilton 6000

Im a little leary as I cant remember if I can get to the TB without having to pull the engine forward to get to the top bolt of my T56 magy.. I am SO hoping I can just unbolt the tranny and shaft and get to it..

I think I am going to go stock GM..
