Item Location (City/State):
Eureka, Ca
Price:
$60,000
Description:

Sorry if this seems generic but I had to post this on craigslist but you guys are all familiar with the parts on this car. I've been a member for awhile but don't really post much... Not much of a computer guy. Lol.

Everything is new with about 1500 miles on the parts. Most of which were bought from Matt's classic bow ties.

1966 Chevy Malibu pro touring.

This car started out as a beautiful stock car with a 283/powerglide.
Then it began its life into a nasty pro touring beast. It has all original sheet metal except for a 2" cowl hood to clear the whipple supercharger. Body lines are straight as an arrow with fender gaps to match. All original glass as well as mirrors and other components. Now for the fun part.... All the goodies. Lol.

Engine:
We took a stock ls3 and turned it into a 418ci Stroker.
Did a little touch up on the heads with all new components.
If you need more info on the motor feel free to call cause it's a lot of info.
It's got a custom ground blower cam and the motor was assembled by a very reputable builder in Washington. No expense was spared.

Supercharger:
It has a whipple 2.9 that was purchased from Wagner motorsports along with their front drive assembly. Same engine and supercharger that's in the ring brothers built Chevelle. It has a dedicated blower drive and second accessory belt for power steering, alternator and AC (car does not have AC but the compressor is there when needed)
It's running a 9lb pulley and comes with other pullies and belt if you want to up the boost.
Fast 85lb injectors
Custom whipple cable 109mm throttle body with spacer
C&R water to air intercooler with ctsv pump and overflow.

Motor made 748hp/666tq on 9lbs of boost and 91 pump gas.... TO THE WHEELS!!! Lots more power left in this if you want it.

Transmission.
Tremec TKO600 perfectFit kit
Hurst Pro 50 shifter
McLeod RST twin disc clutch/flywheel. Drives great
Tilton master cylinder and slave
Aluminum driveshaft all 1350 yoke and u-joints

Rear end:
Moser 12 bolt with big bearing for 9" ends and bolt in style axles
3:73 gears
TruTrac possi
35 spline axles.

Suspension and steering:
I did a lot of research on the pro touring forums before I bought my suspension and ended up ordering everything from a gentleman named Mark Savitske. He wrote the book How To Make a Muscle Car Handle.
I order his stage 2 plus kit with all of the options
http://scandc.com/new/node/738.
-Varishock double adjustables in all 4 corners
-Chassis works upper and lower rear trailing arms with Jonny joints in all 4 corners
-SPC lowering springs
-SPC adjustable upper control arms with howl screw in ball joints
-SPC lower control arms
-hellwig front and rear sway bars(rear not installed yet)

Steering box by flaming river
Steering column from IDIDIT
Jones racing pump with all new lines and overflow tank

Brakes:
All new inline tube brake lines and 4 wheel disc brakes and stainless flex lines
This is one part of the car that could be upgraded. It stops great but would probably fade if actually tracked. Car was fine for a shot auto cross.

Ls swap kit:
Speedtech performance Ls swap kit includes
Stainless works headers
Custom baffled oil pan
Remote oil filter
Custom mounts and engine plates
Motor sits perfect with an 1/8" of clearance everywhere.

Electrical:
All new electric Auto Meter guages and dash panel from Thunder roadster
-boost
-tach
-speedo
-oil pressure
-volt
-fuel
-water temp
-AEM wide band.
Also have an Auto Meter shift light with data logging shift and digital tach in center

All the lights have been re-wired to run off of relays as well as fans and an accessory inside the car

Radiator:
-griffin Ls swap radiator and fans
Moroso overflow tank

Seats and Belts
Recaro seats. Older version but wider than most new ones. I'm 6'4"
Scroth racing 4point belts

Fuel system:
Tanks inc tank and 1000hp pump
Nasty fuel system with corvett filter and all Russell fittings

Wheels and tires:
Fordgeline rims
Bridgestone RE71r
Best tires in autocross at the moment and wheels speak for themselves.

Car truly is beautiful and is very well kept up on. It was tuned by Rick at synergy motorsports with a very conservative California gas tune.
