What would make tires do this?
Alignment is within spec and air pressure is 32 lbs!!

What wear are we looking at? Is there outer wear? The very out edge looks like some spirited driving has been going on. Or are you talking about the rows with something stuck to it?

That's pretty cool. I'd guess you have a different compound in those tread blocks than the surrounding ones. Probably softer for wet weather traction or something like that...
