Hello everyone! I am putting together a 67 Chevelle SS for lots of cruising and some track time. I'm currently putting a Vintage air system in it along with UMI tubular upper/lower front and rear control arms with the rear uppers being adjustable. It's also getting Viking coilovers on all corners with the Ridetech rear coilover setup. The car is currently a 454, th400 with a 12 bolt and 3.73 gears and front disks. The next phase is to add full Bear disk setup, 35 spline axles with 9" housing ends, a trutrak or wavetrack and a Gear Vendors OD and a 4 point roll bar. I'm also doing and EFI conversion using the Holley Dominator EFI setup for better drivability. Finally it will be getting a Reher Morrison 583ci pump gas motor with a small shot for some track time. Here are some pics of the car currently just before I started to add anything. I am still trying to figure out a style of wheel for the car. I will update as I complete phases.

Welcome to LatG!
Nice car! Is this a recent purchase, or has it been in the family for a while?

Look at something other than Baer brakes -- frankly -- they're not great street brakes. Look at StopTech or Wilwood... they have far better street manors. I find that Baer brakes don't work worth a damn on the street - they just take too much heat to get working - and street driving doesn't create any heat. To make them work at all - you have to go to a super agressive pad. I actually used to think it was something I'd done wrong -- then figured out it's the Baer brakes.

Thank you. It' a recent purchase I picked up about a couple months ago.

Good to know. I was initially looking at the Wilwood and was told that they were not as good either. I'll take a look at the stoptech setup.

Welcome Mike :)

I'll see how my Wilwoods work, I'm betting they'll be fine.

I saw the car at GAP on Friday and it looks GOOD man. Congrats on the car!

Welcome!! You have a nice starter there. I see you say you're new from Houston, but your location says DFW. If you're in Dallas, I'm in Mesquite. Keep us posted with lots of pics.

Sorry I forgot to change my location. I'm actually in the Spring area just north of Houston. It's changed now.

Thanks Will. I ran Wilwood on my 10.5 Chevelle and my 69 Camaro without issues. I will be doing a little more research before pulling the trigger.
