I have a 69 Camaro with a LS engine (500ish hp at engine) and T56. DSE Multi Leaf Springs in the back. If I launch it at all on the street with drag radials I get wheel hop, burnout with street tires I've gotten wheel hop and hard 1st to 2nd shifts I've had a bit of wheel hop. HP Levels will only ever go up from here as I may go forced induction.

I'm trying to figure out if I can just get some Caltracs and would that solve my issue now and for if I decided to go up to 750hp or will I still have issues with that route and need to go with a 4link? I went to a local respected fabrication shop and they were pushing I go with a 4 link.

It's a street car that will see some 1/4 mile time at the track. Another note is I would like to go mini tub at some point in the future but that could be in a year or two. I'm not necessarily in a rush for that due to cost. Any help would be appreciated

wheel hop, track use, mini tub and more HP....all reasons to step up to a link suspension.

where is your pinion angle now?

When I say track use I'm meaning a couple times a year that's it. Mostly street car.

I had a new 12 bolt built for it this past summer. I know that the pinion angle was "improved" the installer said and he told me what the angle was at now but I can't remember to be honest.

A buddy has Caltracs(along with there matching split leafs) on his 67 camaro and runs 9s with ease in the 1/4 on drag radials, no wheel hop(1200+ whp). So leafs and Caltracs can work.

I had hotchkis leafs in my 67 Camaro.. It wheel hopped something fierce. Added cal tracs and it was gone
