Which headers would be better for an Auto-X 67 Firebird 400. . .

Hooker Comp or Super Comp headers?

There's not a lot of information on the website so I don't know where they make power in relation to each other.

Thanks!

It has been my experience the comps are a multi use header with very loose fitment tolerances. The Super Comps are a better fit per application. The extra $ gets you better ground clearance and better plug access.

I don't know about the Pontiac 400 motors in 1st Gen F-bodies but the Hooker Super Comps for SBC have a few issues.

They are great for a normal or slightly lowered (1" or so) 1st gen but have poor ground clearance for lower than that.

They also WILL interfere with the Ridetech TruTurn system if you decide to go with that.

I know these things as I have/had them on my 69 with a SBC. Other than those issues they are great headers and produce great power and are well built.
