Wanted to find out what people that have done the LS swaps using Hooker mounts, are using for the clam shell motor mounts? Are you using the stock rubber OEM type mounts or are you using the polyurethane? I know in the past people started getting away from the stock rubber as they didn't hold up for long, but I'm not sure if these clam shell style mounts are better? I've heard to try and use rubber for the trans mount to help alleviate vibration, but wasn't sure about the motor mounts. I am using solid body mounts for the subframe.

thanks, Jake

Jake, Holley reccomend to me to use the stock rubber clam shell mounts w/ the Holley.Hooker LS swap mounts preferably original GM mounts but I was unable to source them so I bought aftermarket "stock" from a local automotive store. I also run solid DSE stock height body mounts. Tim john---

The directions that I got said you can use the anchor 2292 mounts. They were pretty cheap through summit.

Thanks for the response guys. I didn't remember anyone making any comments about using poly mounts with the Hooker motor mounts so I thought I would see if I missed anything as I know some rubber mounts don't hold up well. Looks like I'll grab some stock rubber mounts.

I didn't care for the hooker mounts, I used the hooker flat plates with poly small block mounts and sbc frame stands fwiw
