Just looking for opinions here, I have a set of recaro sports removed from a Mitsubishi Evolution. What would you guess the average cost to have a set of these recovered? Nothing fancy. Just looking for a ball park guess, I've never had any upholstery work done so I don't know what to expect. Also, any recommendations of upholstery shops in Missouri or around St.Louis area? Thanks

Yeah those look pretty nice, I wonder how far off the mounts are from the recaro, I already modified my floor to mount the recaro sliders.

Not hard to mount any sliders. I need to get my recaro ls done in leather. They way i look at it is i bought them new i would be looking at $1200 per seat. I bought some vintage recaros for $250 and if i spend under $1000 to get them both done i would be very happy. I would still pay up to $1200 to get both of them done.
The pro car elite least were like $600 for the pair. Difference in feel, height, and style is like going from a corvette to a geo metro is quality

That's the tough part about buying parts online or from a magazine. I can't see or try them out before buying. I highly rely on your (forum members) opinions and reviews. I think for the time being, I am going to move forward with my car, my seats are plenty usable. Then when the right time comes, either look for new seats or look into having mine redone. Thanks again guys I always appreciate the help and advice.

Got these off eBay, and could not be happier. Beautifully recovered ...$1550 if I remember correctly for the pair

Scratching around a bit you can buy the pro car seats bare and have them covered

Kevin I'm in a similar situation with seats for my car. I wanted vintage Recaros simply because I like the look of them and want full manual seats. However, with the lack of people able to restore them and the potential for the unknown when buying a pair of older, used seats, I've just decided to hell with it and will buy new ones. Sure, it may cost more than I wanted to spend but I know what I'm getting this way. Having a good, comfortable seat is going to be very important.
I realize you're in a slightly different situation since you already have the seats. I just think this is one area where you can't or shouldn't cheap out. You just have to bite the bullet and have it done right.
Good luck.

Don't worry too much about me already owning the seats. I only paid $200 with sliders. lol. I think I am just going to use them for now, then like you buy a new set.

Kev, check out RPM Garage ... Hong Kong
He has like 5 sets for sale right now. I did talk to him and he said they would actually recover the seats in any stitching color you'd prefer ... for a price of course
My interior guys was very happy with the job they did recovering my seats.
