Description:Selling my 1969 big block Chevy el Camino. She was daily driven for years, has been in the family since 88 or 89. My wife and I are expecting our first child and I won't have time to play with this car in the near future. It's time for her to move on to the next home.
This is an original V8 California car, built in Fremont. I have the original Protec-to-plate. You could turn it into an SS clone pretty easily as there is no VIN designation for '69. I don't like lots of badges so I didn't bother.

Mild build, meant to be a driver not a racer. Has run 14.45 at Sears Point but hasn't made a pass in ten years.

New Edelbrock carb with electric choke
Edelbrock intake
TH350 transmission, just serviced
12 bolt posi from a 69 Chevelle, also just serviced, with 3.70 gears.
New tie rods
New brake pads, rotors and short lines
New gas tank, has second line so you can switch to EFI.
Holley Blue electric fuel pump, rear mounted.
Fiberglass cowl induction hood with dzus fasteners.
Recent carpet
Auto Meter gauges
Mallory Tach
Battery mounted in back, under the bed.
Tonneau Cover
Rally Wheels with caps and trim rings.
Bucket seats, power driver.
Has a Class III hitch, too.
Was an AC car and I still have the brackets.
Was originally green with a canvas top. Repainted by Jim's Autobody in Concord in aprox 1994. They took it down to metal. Still looks pretty good.
Needs some TLC, little things here and there. I have a random assortment of spares and accessories.
Known small issues:
- Wiring issue that I have not had the time to track down - the car doesn't turn over with the key, it's probably the neutral safety switch. It started doing this about four months ago. I use a handheld starter switch and plug it in under the hood. It hasn't really bothered me because it's less likely to be stolen.
- On my way back from the Goodguys show in Pleasanton she started misting some oil under the hood. I think it's the valley gasket. If I have a chance to fix it then I will, but I have set the price based on this detail.
- Needs a driver side inner door panel, can't seem to find the right color of 'saddle' 45 years later.
