Just hoping to run into some of you guys at the show this year. I will be there on Friday and Saturday. My car is STILL in paint prison so I will be riding in my friends totally scratch built 29 Ford pick-up roadster. (His professional career was a fabricator for Indy/Champ car teams) and on Saturday I get to hang with the low rider/custom crowd in a 50 Merc.

Neither one being pro-touring but hey, I am taking what I can get at this point....

Hope to see some members!

Just got back. I saw the SN65 and talked to the mad men behind that crazy project. Words cannot describe the fit finish and detail that went into that car. Saw and heard Bob Johnsons 'cuda. speechless. That car is stunning!
I am going back on Sat. and I will try and get some pictures posted.

The weather here was awesome. It was low 80's and no humidity. Looks to be the same for the rest of the weekend. It was by far the busiest I have ever seen it. There will have to be over 7000 cars this weekend.

We just got back home. I really enjoyed the weekend. I met a lot of people that I had been wanting to meet. Everyone was super nice. I hope everyone else had as good of a time as I did.

Later,

SNIP....

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the kind words.... I think? Mad men??? Maybe yes and maybe no. Only time will tell.

I also saw the G-Force Cuda for the first time. I am the same as you, speechless. Bob walked away with Street machine of the year and rightly so. I hope he is able to relax a bit now and bask in the glory that is SMOTY.

Congrats Bob

Bob,

The "madmen term" was a complement! I spent a lot of time on Saturday looking at your car when it was in the pro's picks area. Amazing!

Hi Darren,

I learned a lot at the GGC show. One of them is that beeing a bit of a madman is a good thing. :-)

That being the case, our goal for the next project is to go totally insain.
