Hey Everyone,

I'm helping out a friend of a friend. She's a really sweet lady and her husband passed away about 6 months ago from a stroke. Naturally, he left a few projects behind that she's trying to get rid of, but doesn't know anything about them. She wants to get rid of them, but would like to get a fair price for them.

The first is a 1962-1965 Chevy II, post car. It's a shell, with the start of a back half in progress. The rear frames are welded-in, and it looks like a clean job. He does have the front factory stub, hood, decklid, all the chrome, etc sitting off to the side. The body is in really good shape, no rust or anything. This is a hard one to put a price on...any idea?

The second is a 1949 Sedan Delivery. She was told it's a '49 since there is only one brake light. It's all original and complete, 6 Cylinder and 2 speed powerglide. The front windshield is missing, but other then that it seems solid. A little rust in the floorboards but that's about it.

Here's some pictures of both cars to help:

Thanks for your help and insight! If you're interested in either car, let me know and I can put you in contact with her as well.

I've owned quite a few Nova's so i guess I can give input on that car. My guess would be $2-4K depending on what it has and what year it is. 62' was the first year for the Nova and 65' is the rarest year, so IMO those two years are worth more than a 63-64'. Parts for 62's and especially 65's are very hard to come by, so if trim etc comes with the car then it may push more towards the higher end. If you have the trunk and there are reverse lights in the trunk, then it's a 65'. The rear glass is hard to get, so again price would reflect that. Lastly, post cars are actually harder to restore than coupes from what I've been told, but coupe are more desirable and bring more value. Hope that helps a little.

Just noticed the taillights in the pic with the parts.... Nova is a 62-64', not a 65'.

Thanks for chiming in. I had a few others say right around that price as well. I was guessing about 1,000...but that's good news for her. I will let her know, and thanks again!

No problem. I'd also consider posting it on Steve's Nova Site. I think that would be your best bet, lots of guys looking for Nova projects there. Good luck!
