Good afternoon, If anybody has a used “Lee” 670 steering box that they would like to sell I would have interest. Mr. Lee retired and no longer offers them so having mine built by him is no longer an option. If you have or are going to upgrade yours perhaps we could work something out. My car is a 69 Firebird. Thank You.

not sure if there are ratios that work for you but they do turn up on ebay. They are stamped lee MFG. I assume its the same lee that built them. I bough mine on ebay for under 200. The Lee box and KRC pump are so nice.

*Update* I had a nice conversation with Kyle Tucker (DSE) about this and he gave a nice recommendation for Turn One gear boxes, he told me that the owner Jeff and he were good friend and that he would take good care of me on a gear box. I talked with Jeff (Turn One) last night and my new box is on its way. Jeff was super helpful and provided several options and recommendations for my intentions. I was very pleased how he coached me along to identify exactly what I needed not necessarily what I thought I wanted, it was time well spent. I am getting a fresh (completely rebuilt) 12.7 box. http://www.turnone-steering.com/

As Lee is no longer an option, I have also been looking and trying to decide where to go from here. I've seen TurnOne mentioned a few times recently and was hoping you might be able to provide additional info about what you ended up ordering, specified use, and price?

thanks.

My intended use is a very nice street car and handling for such. I wanted a modern car feel and response. The steering box I bought from Turn One is a 12:7 and 2.75 lock to lock. I have no intention to race the car but the box is certainly capable of handling such. Turn One treated me very well and I see no resaon to looks elsewhere. Cost for a rebuilt box like this was $ 350.00 plus I bought some extra 6 AN fittings for a type N (GTO LS power steering) pump and converted the box to 6 AN so I had another $ 50.00 roughly in fittings.

Thanks for that info! I'm also looking for an ATS/Lee box but the sheer amount of threads that are asking "hi guys whats the best box ive heard lee is good but not available what else is good thanks bye".. leads me to believe I'm at the end of a long lineup if I were to ever actually going to be able to find a used ATS/Lee box. I'm contemplating just fiddling with my box to dive into the world of custom box valve tuning. If only I could just get my hands on a Lee valve to copy...,

I didn't know what that meant till now. Just learned me something I guess. And if I'm wrong please school me don't scold me remember guys I'm new here. Thanks.
