I'm making my own custom :factory" phantom grille... Started to strip the chrome off of the grille to get it ready for assembly!!! I had seen on youtube that you can use household bleach to remove chrome off of plastic parts!!! I tried it, 1st pics are after 1 24hr soak and the next pics are after 2 24hr baths!!! Now, just gotta figure out how to soak the main grille?? Does anybody know if I use paint stripper either a gel or spray will work???

Are you happy with the results of the smaller pieces?.... . Could just fill the bath tub n toss It in

you can try a thick plastic bag and a gelly bleach cleaner. Try a small section on the plastic bag to see if it damages the bag first.

When I was a kid building model cars, easyoff oven cleaner was the hot ticket for dechroming parts to get the cool, monochromatic look.
