We are pleased to announce the debut of the all new SPEC series chassis from Roadster Shop.

With the Goodguys Columbus show this weekend, we are debuting the first two chassis in a lineup that will cover Chevelle, Camaro, C10, Tri-five and Impala. If you are at the show, make sure you stop by the booth and take a look at the Camaro and C10 SPEC series chassis on display.

"All well and good" you may be saying at this point. "It's a Roadster Shop chassis so it must be expensive, right??"

So what is SPEC? Simply put, SPEC is the most advanced, highest quality chassis and suspension system available for a low budget.

Curious on what size rim can be used up front? In the video Jeremy mentions 295 front and 335 rear but no rim size for front.

Also, wondering if 3" exhaust can be used?

I'm curious, and forgive me if this seems like a really ignorant question, but what are some of the major differences between this and their top of the line chassis?

So I have a 55 Chevy Bel Air, why would I order this Spec series vs their higher priced chassis? Clearly for the price drop something is different.

I like what I see, and I really like the price point. This makes a chassis swap more attainable for me. I'm just curious on the differences.

Fast Track chassis uses IRS for rear, front spindles, shocks and lowers are different than SPEC chassis. I'm sure there are other differences, but I like the SPEC for those like on a smaller budget or those who don't need the track chassis components, etc but still want very good handling & performance.

The engineering approach is pretty awesome. I always get a kick out of the design and execution of big projects like these.
Couple questions:
You mention the issue of stress/fail points in mandrel bent tubing. These appear to be multiple pieces welded together. While welding is EVERYWHERE in our lives, doesnt the weld process also add stresses and such to ab assembly?

Also, you mention laser cut, but I only see a plasma table in the video. Do you do your own in house laser work or send it out?

Im a metal manufacturing junky, so these are honest questions and not intended to be rude or negative one bit. What you guys have done here is.absolutely superb in its entirety. Im just curious of a few things is all.

As of November/December they didn't know how wide of a front tire they could fit in the front. The sales guy I talk with did say a 245 could fit...

The major difference in the price point versus the two are the Fast Track chassis's are 100% CNC cut and welded together, hence more man hours. The SPEC series uses mostly square tubing cut and the ends welded together to form the chassis.

Unfortunately this is WRONG. Irs is an option but does not come standard on the fast track chassis. Many many vehicles that utilize the fast track chassis have a solid rear axle. No biggie, just sayin':thumbsup:

Thanks for clarifying as I didn't go to their website. The two fast tracks I have seen in person had IRS so I assumed it was part of the diffference, being the SPEC was live axle.

Im gonna order everything global west makes front and rear A arms frame braces ect.
will the panhard bar work with air ride? after you set it isn't it ridged? will I be able to lay car on ground and then raise up with it on? if so I am getting that also.
if all this don't work I will have a bad ass rolling chassis for sale lol
