I think I'm going to burst your bubble. I'd say if you don't have a block you might as well buy a crate block....or a crate engine. Either way let me know what you do. I have a ls7 that i'm getting ready for a rebuild

The crank requires using the stock titanium rods which I would not buy used since they get brittle over time. You'll need a lot of mallory metal to try and balance that crank with aftermarket rods, the cost of that would put you into a better 4340 crank vs the stock 1053 crank.

I can use the stock rod/piston that's no a problem it'S not that expensive! But for the block, i was wondering if i can bore out a 6.0/6.2 enough to clear those ls7 head?! What would be a good combo Costwise?!

The LS7 utilizes a 4.125" bore. The LS7's titanium rod is a weird length, and will require a custom piston if you choose to go aftermarket. No, you won't get a 6 liter block to go out to 4.125", so those heads are pretty much a no go, unless you find a big bore block. A good used LS7 block is much like a unicorn.

There's a reason you got the stuff on the cheap.

Sell the heads, buy an ls6, get custom 12:1 pistons made with the correct pin height to use the titanium rods.

GM didn't choose that oddball rod length for nothing. With the smaller 3.9" bore pistons, you actually get to remove metal from the crank to balance it... which is awesome.

Use the ls7 cam, because it is timed/clocked to the 4" ls7 crank. It's still a .56x/.56x lift cam, even with the ls6 1.7 rockers. Which is more than the ls6 cam, so use the ls7 valve springs/lifters (and pushrods?).

Essentially take the best 5.7 gm has ever produced, and use the top shelf parts from gm's premiere 7.0L, to build a badass 383 stroker.

You can get the ls6 intake modified by tpis to accept the 90mm ls7 throttle body.

That's what I would do if I were you. But I have always wanted to build a high compression 383, and sticking everything great from an LS7 into an LS6 just so happens to make a 383 stroker.

I would stay naturally aspirated since the crank isn't 4000 series steel, and the titanium rods are only said to be good for about 500ft/lb to the tires. The stock 243 heads and lightweight ls6 valves should be plenty for a 383 using a ls7 cam and 1.7 rockers. Maybe a mild port and valve job. Ls7 throttle body on the ls6 intake, and ls7 injectors, should be a rad 7000rpm motor.
