Very cool! I hope it takes off for them.

Also, not a bad car to have on the first cover...

Curious - Who are the individuals behind the publication and what are their backgrounds?

As I remember they have other print magazines, so doing print is something they're doing now. The ProTouring idea is new for them though. Can't remember the company name.

Looking to forward this magazine, looks like it should be pretty cool. They are definitely starting out good with a feature on Hellfire. I still like to buy and read car magazines, so I'm in.

Those were the places that they listed on their FB page. I would imagine that the company carries it, but it may not be carried in every store.

I bought mine at a corner store which happens to sell magazines. I would think any store that normally stocks car magazines would sell it

If you're in the DFW area, check Krogers. I picked mine up yesterday at the Krogers on Heritage Trace and 35, they still had a few issues left.

I like the magazine. But what is up with some of the photography it looks altered or is just the issue I got anybody else think this? But I do like the articles and the magazine you can tell its Rides but all the sponsor ads but hey it's cool I take it.

I've found it at Publix and Walgreens... and have looked at every store since first finding one for myself... I "face" the mag to the front of the shelf moving other rags to the back shelves to give "Pro-Touring" the visibility it deserves!

It looks like every photo in the mag is done in HDR (high-dynamic-range), which gives the subjects a fake or computerized appearance to me.

Other than that, I like it so far.

I agree I like it just don't need the weird photos I want to see the craftsmanship of the ride

I told my wife to pick up a copy but I was surprised that it showed up here in Kandahar and I bought a copy a few days ago.

I'm disappointed that in the front of the magazine it says it will be oriented towards the high dollar builds and will have minimal tech articles. I buy magazines more for the tech articles than the feature cars. High dollar cars are great and even a low budget build can get some inspiration from a high dollar car, but it's always cool to see well done, lower budget cars in mags.

I'm sure if they stick around it will evolve for the better though.

Just a collection of pics with a few words on each doesn't seem all that appealing. You can google info on any of them. Tech articles would make me a subscriber. For example, "this is why we did this, this is why and how."

Since it had Charlie's car on the cover - I skipped the entire thing.... Besides... I'd seen the pics via his texts. LOL

This was my biggest criticism of the mag as well. I guess I'm getting old, but I buy magazines to read, not just look at the pictures, so more text would have been good.

Other than that, I really liked it, especially the article about the Roadster Shop.

Hopefully someone involved with production is on this forum. I like tech articles of all kinds. Even if it's just a part install which is basically just advertising a companies parts. It's a more interesting way to learn about new parts than just a regular ad. Popular hotrodding was going into some in-depth tech at one point which was really cool. I think those kinds of articles oriented toward brakes, suspension, aerodynamics, etc would be a good addition.

As long as there is both positive & negative feedback about this magazine, I'll post mine. I was walking by the magazine rack in a gas station & saw a copy. I picked it up & proceded to the checkout along with my other purchase. When the guy gave me the total, I said, "huh"? The magazine was $8.00! I have never paid $8.00 for a magazine in my life. (OK, I might if Mark autographed the cover)...

It went back on the rack. $8.00? Is that what others have paid?

That just seems wrong. If I were you, I'd give them THE FINGER!
Did Mark get a freebie?
I may even pay the $8.00 if YOU'D 'graph it. :)

Put Ron Sutton on the payroll.

Good idea. Grab a suspension system from any one of the manufacturers and put it on a car. Give good details and pictures, talk about any issues that pop up and TEST the parts out.

I have a truck that I built in the late 90's that made Sport Truck, and Truckin' magazines. I had to jump through hoops for the guys, one being the editor, and they never gave me anything, either. I feel you Charlie...a photo shoot is a LOT of work.
$8 bucks, really? I haven't even seen the magazine around these parts...

They had six copies on the rack at the local Tom Thumb. I took a quick look a the feature articles. Chevy, Chevy, Chevy, Ford, Pontiac, Chevy, Chevy... did not look at the price... set it back down. Better tech right here on this forum. The internet has all but killed magazine publication. A lot of the magazine tech stuff was thinly veiled advertising anyway.
