Spent yesterday at a place called Memory Lane in Wilmington, CA.. they specialize in musclecar and old car salvage. Some cars are sold whole but many are parted out.

This would make a cool project car.. the trunk is so super cool.. a Rambler Marlin

Another cool car.. and it runs (has a rod knock).. a '68 Fairlane.

Just piles and piles of cool cars.. it was like a toybox for gearheads..

Cool stuff was piled up everywhere.. they sell a lot of parts on Ebay and the owner said you never know what will get the high bids.

I really want that Rambler.. even the engine bay was cool..

Automobiles Anonymous! Next time you have an episode give me a call and I will talk you down.

So how much for the Rambler? lets see $950 to ship to NC, $100 a month storage away from my house so I can stay married. OK I'm in.

You can thank me later for saving you. lol

No really, how much for the Rambler?

Call up Tony Martinez (the owner) and tell him I sent ya.. he has had it since '04 so I'm sure he would happy to move it. He thinks it's about the coolest car on his lot and just can stomach cutting it up. There's no engine but the bay is very clean. Most of the trim is there as well.

Their website: www.oldautoparts.com and the number is 310-513-7036

Oh, he actually has two of them.. this is the best body but the other one could most likely supply bumbers and stuff.

Now thatīs something you wont find anywhere in Sweden nowdays
Now everything is very controlled and assorted, like some ****in supermarket or something. Iīd love to stroll around in a old american junkyard and find the perfect object and ship it home to Sweden:P
Be happy that you still have your junkyards, one day they may be gone...
Offcourse this is just my impression but one thing is for sure, that you cant find anything in swedish "junkshops" or do you have a different impression Jan?

 I want that 64 Chevy stepside....BAD! You guys in the Southwest don't know how good you have it. You can walk out the door and fall on rust free cars. Rust-free doesn't exist here.

Oh, we have rust.. remember that CA is next to that wonderful rust producer called the Pacific Ocean. :)

This '56 was so bad that they charged the guy $200 to haul it away.. when loading it the doors fell off from rust. It was about the rustiest car I've ever seen. All the rubber was rotted away as well.

They will sell the glass and the trim..that's about it. This car was about 3 miles from the ocean in Santa Monica..

Check out the front end styling cues between this Aussie XA Falcon coupe and the fairlane. The XA Falcon was manufactured between 72-73.

hmmmm

east coast= RUST, hurricanes, twisters, and floods

west coast= earthquakes and volcanoes...... but i can walk up the side of the hill and find rust free 70+ yearold car bodies, and oregon just happens to have the highest per capita number of strip clubs.

i think i will stay on the west coast...... btw, i have a room for rent

We don't get tons of extremes but we do get EVERYTHING. Severe floods (1 month ago), Hurricanes (Bob in early 90's), Tornados (apparently tore my house off it's foundation in '53), Blizzards every year and mild earthquakes rarely. The biggest issue is only having 2 months of decent weather (no exaggeration). And those 2 months are reserved for major highway construction and traffic to Cape Cod.
