This is the first time I seriously shot a car. Let me know what you think....kind of a duplicate thread, but I figured I would get more input on the photography in this forum..

It would look better if you had turned the front wheels the other direction :)

I think it needs to be lowered and mini-tubbed. Oh wait, are we talking about the picture or the car?

hmm, now that you mention that about the wheels......dangit.

Scott, I would love to lower it. But it is actually the little ladies car.....Future Fiance, as soon as I can afford the proper ring. She is scared enough driving it with the rolling stock thats on it. I am looking at getting some speed mesh and factory fog lights for that front grille area. Then maybe I can talk her into dropping it. lol. Ricer stuff. I wish I had the money to hot rod the truck. All in due time.

Not bad. Cluttered background is dominating the photo and the second one is way too dark. Again, front wheels pointed in the other direction would be better. I think a car like this needs a more dynamic and exaggerated pose since the color and sky reflection is kinda blah. You start to lose some detail in the rear since it's in shadow. Make a reflector with a huge piece of cardboard and tinfoil to throw some light in there. Just my $.02.

thanks for the tips.....when you live out in po-dunk, it is hard to find a good place to photograph cars. I'm still in search of a good spot

Keep the background simple, look for any background to work as part of a overall composition that balances the image but doesn't take over, rotate the tires the other way, get closer to the car, change angle of car to catch the light better, try a ladder, try laying down on the ground, wash the bugs off the bumper...

Thanks for all of the help.....I wanted to wash it before I shot it, but We are under a water ban through most of NE texas due to the lack of rain.
