Hey guys, this company makes custom brackets to run different brakes like for a gen 5 camaro on a gen 1 camaro and so on. I have contacted them numerous times, are these guys still up and running? Does anyone know? Please advise, I really need the front and back brackets to use gen 5 brakes on my 69.

Scott at bigbrakeupgrade.com sells simular brackets. Let him know Ahmad Sent you. He'll work with you on anything you need. I've tried Flynbye with zero answers as well. Scott always emails or calls back. Hope this helps.

I bought rear adapter brackets from them. Took 4 weeks to get something that said "In Stock"

Fly N Bye is a side business......the owner has another Full Time job.

That's why I use Tobin @ Kore3 but it doesn't help you with the Brembo calipers.

For the front brackets you can find the template on here and give to someone with a laser/plas/waterjet.......

For the rear brackets, I don't know anyone else that has them except maybe Wilwood. But there is an issue with using fixed calipers on the rear of a car with a c-clip axle that Im pretty sure (hope not cuz posi) I'll be having to deal with known as pad knock back. If you've done away with the c-clip, you (supposedly) don't have to deal with this.

I have Ed's(flynbye) rear brake kit on my TA. Perfectly fine product. He's just terrible about keeping in touch with people. Like mentioned, it's a side business.

Customer service even after the product is sold is key tho. Even if it's a side business its still a business.

there was a guy on cl selling his brackets. he was in the bay area. I have his brackets. it took 3 months to get. I paid and waited. called and waited. they are nothing special. just a thick flat plate with 2 holes in it. dont get me wrong. they fit, work and are nice. but not worth the wait.

You guys are all very trusting when it comes to who's supplying your brake system parts. I know it's just a bracket, but would still worry me a bit...:stirthepot:

I spoke to Scott personally before I made my purchase with him. I felt comfortable giving my business to someone who supports the car hobby, took the time to do the research and cad design on the brackets and help a business who is trying to keep parts made in the USA.

He always answered any of my "tech" questions and went out of his way to make me brackets for an axle he didn't stock and charge me the normal price of any other bracket he sells.

So yeah, I'll give him my business. Everyone is allowed to buy what works for them on there personal cars. It's a brake swap not rocket surgery.

Was actually referring to the guy who no one could get a hold of... As you said, after sales support is important too.
