Hello everyone!

I've been a long time lurker, and have commented on a few build threads, so I figure it's probably time to do a "formal" intro.

I live in northeast Ohio, and I'm currently pretty into sprint car racing. I have my own pavement car that's under construction (build thread here: http://www.offroadfabnet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10558) and I help a good buddy of mine with his dirt car (the pic I'm using for my avatar). I built my own shop (with a lot of help from family and friends) a couple years ago, and the build thread on that is here: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=124690.

I've been starting to think about what's next, after racing. Pro-Touring seems like a cool thing to do. The biggest thing I like is that these cars are intended to perform instead of just be fairgrounds cruisers. I've enjoyed reading the forums here, everyone seems really cool. I'm not completely sure what direction I would go with a PT car. I've had thoughts of doing a Chevy II, but a larger car might be in order because I have two young boys that need somewhere to ride along.

Sooo...that's a little about me. I hope to be a more frequent participant in the forums here.

Welcome to the site! Same story here as well. I ran asphalt late models for years, and got into this hobby for the performance aspect of actually having a car that is capable, not just a show car. This is fun, and MUCH cheaper!
