I started doing this Camaro as a LS COPO but I'm am now going to go in the opposite direction . I was having trouble w the old look so I'm going to spice it up w lost of custom metal work & all the normal pro touring goodies. I haven't posted any thing since my C10V build so I know my posting skills are very rusty so bear w me till I get pics up to date. My goal is to be ready for Columbus (this year). Bill

The frame rails & rockers where nice.lol. I love re metaling camaros it's like a sickness. I think these things started to rust at the chev dealer here in PA. That's what makes them so valuable. Bill

Bill, I may be jumping the gun, but can you give a few details on the 02 Trans Am engine, wheels, tranny combo? Again, I loved the mods done to the truck and I'm excited to see you what's in store for the 69.

Thanks for the complements guys , I don't know what wheels yet I'm probably gong to switch the bolt pattern to Ford Mustang then I'll have hundreds of cool choices , not so limited. A lot of choices to be made in the$ spending department yet. do you have plenty of clearing on the tunnel now? doesn't look like you added a lot of material. Did you make that cap?

Now the tunnel has 3/4 in clearance at its closest point , I added approx 1 in. I made the new peice (very simple).

Not just mustang, a lot of RWD imports run the same 5x114.3 pattern. You should be able to find all sorts of aggressive fitments as well. G35/G37 and 350z/370z use brembos on some OEM trim levels, so their front clearances might work

Australian falcon use 114.3 bolt pattern. We have a couple of offsets too. Huge wheel choice if you want to import from Australia

The satin black is keystone (aftermarket sheet metal supplier) it always has the same sheen ,it's user friendly ,gas resistant & only about $100 gal kit. Thanks bill

No name brand on headers. $ 199 eBay and they are stainless I've bought a couple sets now and have no complaints. They stay looking good after running they turn a nice gold tone.

Me too, I love a deep/dark red. Do any of you guys remember the Tech 9 Camaro? This sort of reminds me of it. The Tech 9 Camaro wasn't quite as dark, but the pearl/candy paint it had was sort of similar. Here's a video of it.

Very nice! Well there are a few of us that like the dark red. My Camaro was painted in the 80s and I ended up using a color I saw on a Jeep running around town. Still my first choice to repaint the car "Vintage Red Metallic, AMC Code 1J" is pretty close. All these cars look so nice with a fresh paint job it is hard to decide!!!

Thanks Mario your right about tough to spray Half way thru spraying I thought what was I thinking when I picked this color. It took 4 hr to shoot almost non stop spraying & had to walk the panels to keep it even I don't think I would want to spray another one any time soon but it looks crazy good The pics don't show how crazy it flops I'll get some better pics soon.
