Hey guys, had an ls1 installed, the motor was not what I was told and the install was garbage. I decided to start all over and go with a whole new motor trans and installer. The new install and motor have gone great but one issue. So originally my car was a 6 speed, now I have 4l70e. My radiator from superior radiator had lines for an auto trans but they were not inverted flare. So now my install is like 99 percent done and the only thing holding it from being completed is 2 brass fittings that could counter act the lack of flare inversion on the radiator. I need two fittings that are both male female 5/16 inverted flare. I have looked on the net for these pieces and cant find what I need. I would hate to sell my radiator and get a new one but if I cant find the fittings thats my last option. Any suggestions guys? Keep in mind I have been to all the local auto parts stores and hardware stores to guys.

If you want to use -AN fittings for the cooler lines, Summit sells -AN to inverted flare fittings.

I used them on my cooler lines.

One of these should work without AN-

Not sure what size inverted flare is on your rad though so the above may not work..

Thanks for the help guys, I called the radiator place and they told me its actually a 1/4 pipe thread I needed on the male side. I went to local auto parts store and got them. They are on the car already, I should be driving today!!!! Thanks guys for the help!

Glad it worked out for you.
Mind sharing what was wrong with the original install?

Some of the info I got about the motor before hand was untrue. I was told the heads had been reworked but they hadn't. The heads had a valve hanging open and I wasted time and money on getting it tuned several times. The actual workmanship was shotty, and just sloppy. Used cheap stuff on my car, some of it worked but some of it was just bootleg. I wasn't happy. Now I am.

Thats why I don't like used parts, quality cost money and research. Can't pay $5 for fish eggs and expect caviar. :peepwall:

I feel you Vince, but if you trust someone who is allegedly very honest and they "forget" or cant remember the history of the motor after they sell it to you when originally they told you one thing what can you do. It is what it is tho, you live and you learn and you learn who you cant trust. Thats life, now as for this ls2, with no tune its burning rubber for 30 feet! Tune coming real soon.
