I think I've looked and called approximatley 20 different resto parts suppliers. Everyone tells me, there is no specific 68 trunk pan. I would have to buy a 1967 or 1969 and modify it.:thmbsdwn: Is this correct?

I want something that fits without any fabrication. Can anyone point me to the right vendor? :)

I dont know who you talked to but as far as i know the 67 is the same as the 68 and there is no modifying necessary. I had to replace my '68s and didnt need to modify it.

I've spoken to several parts suppliers. Where did you get yours from?

Your talking to all the wrong people. 67 and 68s are identical. We have done 100s of these.

We are talking about a first gen F body, right?

As Frank said- the 67-68s are the same.

As far as trunk pan patches they are available. Yout can buy the pan, the extensions and the ends. The 67 and 68's are the same. But there are full trunk pants that for from the tail pan all the way to the the rear seat. The 68 pan is not currently available. The 69 and 67 are. But the 67 does not have the staggered shocks. That is the only difference. If you wanted the full pant you would have to order a new shock tower and modify the pan.

Also Ricks First Generation sells everything you need. Ive dealt with them ALOT with my 69. Never give me any problems and they know ALOT about the cars.

Also so does Classic Industries.

68RS350, Thank you so much. This is exactly what they are telling me. The full trunk pans that are from the tail pan all the way to the the rear seat are not currently available for the 68.

Has anyone one the board modified this full trunk pan and used a new shock tower? Any Advice?

What I would do is take all your measurements of your stock pan now. Purchase the full pan and then the LH shock tower. Id put the full pan in then cut out the LH Shock tower and place it in.

I checked Ricks First Gen and Classic Industries because I will purchasing a lot of sheet metal from them.

Rick's is $359.95

Classis Industries is $309.95
Also Classis Industries sells a Trunk Floor Replacement kit that has:
1 - Trunk Pan
2 - Trunk Extensions (LH/RH)
2 - Lower Side Panels (LH/RH)
2 - Floor Reinforcements (Optional)

$184.75 without the reinforcements
$256.50 with the reinforcements
