Just saw the Costco thread about flooring, and wondering if anyone got their LED lights to replace regular T8 lights.

I am just getting back in garage and project mode, and this is a great setup for anyone looking into improving light on their garage. No more issues with cold weather or flashing in the garage, plus compared with regular T8's they are a night and day (no pun intended) difference. The rated lumens do not tell the whole story, they emit a very clean and uniform white light.

These are the ones I am referring to and they are now $32 at Costco per set:

Thanks for sharing, I think I might go get a membership because that's a great deal. I've used the Feit 40 and 60W A19 LED's to replace incandescents and they work very well for how cheap they are so I am guessing these will work well also.

We installed a bunch of 8' LED strip lights in a data center and when you look up at them they damn near blind you. They where high dollar lights. I have to get over to Costco, I have not bought lights for my shop yet,but I have to be able to hardwire them.:superhack:

Man, the wife is the only one with a Costco card and she's out of town until Saturday night. Hope they still have this deal on Sunday...

I need about 10 of those for my shop...

The rebate runs out 2/22. The main thing is whether your local Costco carries them or not.

Have them look up your wife's account & give you a card on it....?

Dave, took a couple trips, you need to call them almost daily as they get supplies almost every other day. When I got 8 sets at 11AM and went back for more they were all gone (and was a ginat pile). I ended up picking a few more in Livermore, actually they were out by the time I got there and I was lucky to be looking at the front on the returns and they had just got a few more sitting there, still sealed :)

They have some in Tracy, Concord, Danville and Livermore back and forth. Best thing is to call the Danville store and check shippment (they receive normally around 7PM).

I am finishing up the wiring and added a couple inside the house (under kitchen cabinets :)

Good luck!

I bought 9 of them and installed only 7 of them in my 2 car garage. They make a huge difference. The only complaint I have is the housing is extremely light weight so when you plug them in it pulls on the housing very easy clocking the light in any direction pulled. Other then that they're a great value.

Guys great score, and my understanding is that Costco was going to do a similar rebate again (I was ready to pull the trigger when they were $40 per set). The difference has been night and day!

Geez the ones at Sam's club seem better. White plug in cord and a pull on off switch.

I was surprised how nice they are.

Might go back and get the rest I need to finish my shop this week.

I went to Costco 4 weeks ago and the lights were on sale for $23 bucks each. I went back last week and they're at $29. Still a great deal.
