Just thought I'd share ... I wanted to raise the floor 1" 1/4 to get the hoist lift arms under my lowered 69' Camaro, and at the same time always wanted a nice Race-Deck styled pad for the car. So 3/4" ply deck strapped together and 140 sq ft of Motofloor from Costco and done ! Really love the look ...

So the Motofloor is 99% the same as Race Deck, in fact it comes out of the same factory, and is a very solid product. Assembly is as simple as lego.

You know you can buy a "tapered/beveled" edge for that --- would save you twisted ankles and the car would run up on it nicer.... not to mention it would be more "finished". Great solution to your issue BTW.

Looks cool... How's the price compared to Racedeck?...

$139.99 for 48 sq. ft., per Costco online as of today...

So, 8 packs for a normal 2 car garage? ~400 sq ft?

Add in a couple "finishing" packs with the edges Greg mentioned at $70 a piece, it's a $1k+ job.

To answer Ned's question, looks to be about 20% cheaper than Racedeck but with a limited color palette and texture selection.

How does that stuff hold up to weld spatter and grinding sparks?

It's PLASTIC..... so that's an "it all depends" answer. A little or a lot.... how much amperage - how big is the wire - you welding 6 feet or half an inch.

I had this stuff upstairs in my man room (boys room if you're name is Gwen).... and I hated cleaning it. The diamond plate surface made it hard to vacuum... and moping was out of the question... and it does get scuff marks on it pretty easily.

Don't drag or scoot a chair on it because it will make a permanent scratch.

It's great stuff - can turn an ordinary space into a cool space quickly and simply - and doesn't cost all that much - and can be taken up and moved or replaced with new pieces...

Thanks Greg, ya I know ... still working on a way to finish the outside. "canadian' Costco's do not carry the beveled edge (screwed again) so I'm looking at a few other options as I have the 3/4" ply under it.

Go to a lumber merchant n get some lumber in 1.5H x 3 or 4" L with bevel. Paint or stain it black....

I really like the looks of that finish. I used the behr epoxy paint to do mine, it has held up pretty well. It has been re-done once, and probably needs it again now, I have some over-spray in a few spots, but as soon as I decide to re-finish it, will be the time that I start another big project and jack it up again! :) Curious to see how long yours stays clean looking and see how the white/or silver? does with the rubber marks etc..

Wish I had your lift in mine! I'm getting to old and beat up to be rolling around on the floor! I still just jack mine up on stands and do everything on my back which sucks! Nice setup!

Hognuts ... I cannot tell you just how awesome it is with a lift, BEST thing I've ever purchased for this hobby. There is no way I could have done the amount of work myself without the lift... I hear ya, I'm almost 50 and the back is getting kinda beat up
