Hi Chris,

I so want to build a red 2nd gen but i am saving for my daughters college which is more important.

Did Ride-Tech update there upper bar brackets on the 2nd Gens and I wish I would have done tubs similar to these as it would have been a lot easier to tuck a 27.5" tire in the back.

http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/af278/jcgrestoration/IMG_3949_zpsywhjfuhb.jpg

and it looks like they are heim joints

Ridetech did not upgrade there upper bar system.. I just took it upon myself to make a few changes.. Opted to run heims ..

Ruuning a 295-35-20 in the back! you cannot even tell that we modified the qtr's on this one..

Of Course you did why wouldn't you. I am curious to see how much more articulation you get with the longer bars and the heim joints.

Originally I had a 26" tall 295 on the rear and it just didn't fill the wheel opening like I wanted. So I bumped up the height to 27.125 with a 295 35 19 which is just a hair taller then your 20". I kinda happy you did the 20 as Kenny wanted me to upgrade to the 20 on the rear and an 19 on the front.

Really looking forward to watching this build to see what parts I am going to buy off of you for future updates on my 70.

Now :gitrdun: cause we all know this is going to be a really cool build.

Marty- the 2nd gens for me are harder to make them look as I want.. So going with a bigger tire helps fill in the opening.. Great choice on running a bigger tire on your car.. Good thing you listened to Kenny! I really have not been working on anything new for the camaro's but will keep ya posted.. been in the Vette World..got a few new things coming there..

Here are a few more pics on the build..

Bad ass ride. Balsy color scheme with the gold wheels. I really like the mix of themes and the vibe the car gives off. Well done.

AT first I was not to thrilled about the color but then we sprayed a sample to ship to the customer & it grew on me.. looks killer out in the sun! First tri stage paint we do here @ the shop..
