Guess the 25 year old guy bought this car off a member of LS1tech.com. Had a big cubed LS1 in it.
Notice how far the engine is from the car.. and over the divider. I can only imagine the forces involved. The driver was ejected fromt he car and is in critical condition.
Rumor is that he swerved to avoid a bag of trash in his lane.. this is why fast driving is for the track.

Dahm, that sucks
I've heard of doors being blown off, but never the whole front end!! That's a dangerous game.

I have no room to talk...I used to do a lot of that. I'm damn lucky I didn't get hurt or hurt someone else.
Stupid kid I was. :(

Atleast there on the right track and realize that they need to have an outlet for racing.Racing is in people's blood and having dragstrip's may reduce the number of these accident's.There is always going to be the guys who street race though.I hope that guy makes a full recovery and learns from this.

:eek: :eek: That is crazy!
On a side note, the person that wrote the article needs to do a google search on "Corvette Stingray", because that is obviously not one.

Hollywood and video games lead people to believe that they can apply large amounts of steering input at high rates of speed. 90 degree turn at 100 mph with no braking? Sure! I saw them do it on Fast & Furious. No problem.

Her in Kc they have open grudge nights were you can go and street race,with added saftey crew.But they are shutting the track down at the end of the year rumor has it.So that will close the only dragstrip in a 150 miles.So back to the street they go.

Yeah. In the new one the main character crashes into everything. In his first race less than 5 minuets into the movie he races a viper and they total both cars. I was happy too see that hollywood showed a just a tiny bit of what can really happen.

Update;
The driver ended up dying.. the other guys are being charged and will most likely be made examples of.. they could get life.
Let's keep it at the track..
