Sorry if I failed in my search.
Of the current 200TW tires in 18" dia. which tire or brands tend to have better forward bite?
I have a 68 Mustang with a big block it has no problem spinning the rear tires at normal Auto Cross speeds . Currently I'm running 300TW Nittos so anything will be an improvement.

I noticed a huge improvement in grip both lateral and forward bite when I upgraded from Nitto 555s to Falken Azeni 615Ks. I'm not sure if they are the best 200TW for forward grip or not but I know they are tons better than the Nittos.

Lots of good choices nowadays, Falken Rt615 K are very popular, but they don't like a ton of heat, when they get hot/abused, they get greasy. BFG Rivals are similar, but they come in bigger sizes than the other 200s. Dunlop Z2 are my favorite cold weather 200TW tire, but your first lap is generally your fastest. Out here in So-Cal, where it's always toasty, I prefer the Hankook R-S3. It loves abuse, and gets stickier and stickier as it heats up. My last Autocross lap is always the best. ANY of the above will be a huge improvement over your Nittos, we had a guy change from NT555 to Hankooks this last year in CAM Autocross in a 71 Camaro and he jumped from running 4th or 5th instantly to 1st, lap times improved by up to 4 seconds a lap...
