I have 2 choices of Z28's I'm about to purchase. A 2014 with no air for 71k out the door or a 2015 w/ AC for 77k. Hmmmm I'm debating what to do...any suggestions?? I'm leaving in 2 hours to the dealer.. Coming home with one is all I know :)

I would get the one with air unless you are planning on a dedicated race car. thats my 2 cents.

Honestly the intent of the car...competition or enjoyment?

Race only = No AC wouldn't be a bad thing

Race and Daily Driver = AC is a must. I wouldn't sacrifice AC for a few tenths around the road course.

Is it really worth an extra $6000 for a/c or should I use the money towards other things. I'm not going to race the car.

Like others have said...

100% race car....no air
100% street car....air

50% race car....air
50% street car....air

So, basically, get the air. But, I'm like wow!...$6k upgrade for some stinking a/c.

Resale is better and easier with AC

I daily my boss in FL and I could honestly go without A/C if it was only me riding in the car but the wifey needs her air lol! But it's also straight piped, on coil overs, on 315 rivals and sits just shy of 3" off the ground and it doesn't bother me at all. Others find it repulsive to even fathom driving it.

I would buy an AC car.

As everyone else has already said.

Personally I would go with AC for the resale value later down the line and on hot days(especially if you live out west) it would be nice. Me being in the Midwest I never usually have the ac on but its always a nice thing to have incase.

Really depends on your location, type and amount of driving, and volume of traffic you have.

Sitting in stop and go traffic on an 80*-90* without air isn't enjoyable in my book. Neither is sitting in the staging lanes for a track session in all your gear on a 90*-95+*day.

Regarding future resale I'd say the majority of buyers would want the air option.

Go with A/C. Have fun with the car. Post a pic a two when you close the deal.

The initial price difference shows me supply and demand for A/C.

Do they even make cars without AC. Get the AC. If you go on power tour or drive outside the north pole you will need it.

Strictly track car - buy a used ZO6. IMO.

Exactly what Stuart said. You can find 2007-8 Z06's with low mileage for 40-45K all day. You can also find C5 Z06's for 22-26K and they make nice track cars also.
