The best photos that show you some detail and undercarriage are here:

http://www.hotrod.com/news/ken-blocks-gymkhana-seven-mustang/?adbid=10153041500099523&adbpl=fb&adbpr=16240699522&sm_id=social_aumoautomobilemaghub_AutomobileMag_20 141104_34977707

You can blow them up real big and really see some good detail.
I'm too lazy to seek it out but I wonder what that AWD transmission goes for. I'm guessing something like that starts at $25k.

Just streamed it to the home 60in TV with surround sound. AWESOME!!!

The OJ Bronco was a nice add. I started laughing and my son looked at me like I was crazy, like WTH.

I wonder when they shut stuff down so there wasnt massive traffic.

I wish the streets were that dead on my commute to work, haha

Dave

this guy I used to work with is trying to argue with me that its just a Mistubishi Lancer drivetrain...

yea because Evo's have that much torque and sequential transmissions

They are using a Sadev awd trans and front diff. The interesting thing is that the strongest trans Sadev makes is rated for about 500 or so lb/ft but there is no way that motor is making anything less than 650 or so.

I was thinking about that too after I looked at the pdf SBDave posted.

Maybe it's not a big deal as long as the car never hooks up?

Seems like I read that about the Quadraduece that Stielow built and Radrides re-did. Doesn't weigh anything and doesn't hook up, so the AWD doesn't grenade.... VERY interested to see if JetHot's Double Down lives up to it's potential.

I noticed Block's tires are paint labeled at the factory, it would be interesting to know the compounds (how hard and many) he uses.

Awesome driving ! Wonder if traction control is off? :y0!:

I like the dogbox idea there, seems he always has the engine pegged to max too!!

If you want to nerd out over the detailed specs of the car, Chris Harris does a walk around of the "Hoonicorn" which was uploaded by the Hoonigans on YouTube. You'll want to watch it. I believe Harris also mentions that the tires are less grippy and produce more smoke than the normal tires.

Living what all of us can only dream about--well, me anyways. That was way cool. That motor RPM's quick---I love when he comes onto the 110 fwy--he bounces it off the rev limiter which is somewhere around 9g's. Sweetness!

I heard from the guys at Sadev here at PRI and they said they were hoping the wheel slip would help save the trans but they were definitely nervous about it. We see a huge difference in abuse from race cars to play cars, so those ratings could be aimed at racers. Sounds like it held up so that's great for them!

Sorry for any typos, I'm on my phone.
