Well most of us Pontiac Guys are sticklers.... :warning:

Maybe you can fill us in a little bit on the details .....

What year or date code is the block? This is important if the engine is being built with more HP than stock... pontiac put out a weaker lightweight block to save weight and gas in 1975.

Who was the engine builder?

Brand of internal components?

Factory heads or Aftermarket? Head flow #'s? Stainless Valves?

Cam Specs?

Late to the party, but as Beebe said, the 1975 and up 400 blocks are less desirable when it comes to performance builds.

Given that you said it's got a forged crank, it makes me wonder if it's a stroker crank. If so, that engine could be anywhere between a 428 and a 467, esp. with a 0.060 overbore.
